A Complete companion- Ravana Falls In Ella, Sri Lanka

The admiration-inspiring Ravana Falls in Ella, Srilanka is one of the most popular falls in the region and is not to be missed during your visit.

I've put together this complete companion to Ravana Falls Ella including how to get there, how important it costs, and what to anticipate when you arrive.

WHERE IS RAVANA FALLS?

A short 10- nanosecond drive down the mountainside from the main road in Ella is where you'll find Ravana Falls. The cheapest option to get from the center of Ella city to the cascade is to jump on the original machine from the Ella machine stop, which will bring you around 50 Rupees.  The other option is to jump in the reverse of a tuk-tuk in Ella and the price will be anywhere between 300- 500 Rupees each way.

ARRIVING AT RAVANA FALLS ELLA

Hold on to your headdresses as you wind your way down through the green vale between Ella Rock & Little Adam’s Peak the hairpin turns on the way to the cascade will make your belly churn!  Don’t be hysterical to look out the window, however, because the spectacular views down the vale are absolutely phenomenal.  These falls point a 3- league slinging cascade that gushes down a gemstone face, creating gemstone pools along its path.

The first set of the cascade is a short 1- nanosecond walk from the jump-off point and this is the most popular spot where the maturity of excursionists and locals hang out.  At first sight, this set of cascade didn’t look veritably striking in comparison to some of the falls you can find in Bali and Lombok, still, I noticed two further sets of cascade which are much advanced up on the precipice face above, and of course, I had to go and check them out!  effects

TO KNOW ABOUT RAVANA FALLS

It’s not recommended by the locals to venture any advanced than the first set of cascade but no signs or walls are proscribing this.  Anyhow of this, my friend Samuel and I started climbing the gemstone face toward the 2nd league.  You will, still, notice a warning sign in the parking lot with pitfalls and hazards to be apprehensive of, so please take care and only explore within your own limits.

We started to gauge the gemstone which was n’t veritably steep and the face was dry, which was cheering.  We went as far as we could before the gemstone climbing came a bit gnarly and we covered across to the backwoods on the right- hand side.  Unexpectedly, there was a muddy trail and signs of bottom business before us, so we followed the trail to the top and we were stunned in admiration at what we had just discovered.

WHAT TO Anticipate AT RAVANA WATERFALL

My original opinion of the cascade not being that spectacular changed incontinently. The views overlooking the vale were stirring, and the journey up into the mountains to see the 2nd and 3rd league falls was nothing short of amazing.  I felt like I was in a fairytale of some kind, having just discovered a magical root!  We explored around the grand mountainside setting, swimming in gemstone pools and taking prints as the sun began to set over the clifftop over.  Just to be sure, I ’d recommend bringing a dry bag to keep all your things and widgets safe when going for a syncope.  We got lucky with the timing and were suitable to get some good shots while the last bit of sun was beaming down through the cracks of the vale. I believe the time was around 4 pm.

We had come as far as the 2nd league and could n’t repel climbing to the loftiest point to reach the 3rd league of the cascade.  I set up a dirt track through some bushland on the left- hand side that leads up and around the gemstone face and to a slinging pool beneath the loftiestfalls.Do you ever have that feeling of achieving commodity worthwhile? Well, that’s the feeling I endured as I reached the loftiest point possible at Ravana Waterfall.

We spent a good hour over then esteeming mama nature at its finest!  The journey back down the mountainside was much easier than I imagined. We followed our same tracks down the dirt trails which lead us straight back to the entrance.  Back at the jump- off point, you can find some small roadside merchandisers that vend delicious snacks, vegetable kottu, and fresh coconuts to cleanse the pallet. Bring some redundant cash if you wish to buy commodity!  As I mentioned before, please take care during your visit and do n’t do anything you do n’t feel comfortabledoing. However, you'll noway  lament it! If you can make it to the top.
